Froggy Went A-Courtin'

This is for my grandmother. She's always been fond of poems and rhymes and has been singing this one for as long as I can remember. The first verse goes:

"Froggy went a-courtin', and he did ride, uh-hum, uh-hum.
Froggy went a-courtin', and he did ride, uh-hum, uh-hum.
Froggy went a-courtin' and he did ride,
With a sword and a pistol by his side, uh-hum, uh-hum."

Love ya, Gran!

"Sand Castle"

This is a story about a boy who defends his sand castle from the rising tide.

When I started this, it was only supposed to be 10 frames or so, but when I got started more ideas just kept coming. By the end of it, the story was 60 frames!

This was an interesting project because I was trying to focus on speed and keeping loose with all of my drawings. I don't have a Cintiq anymore so these were drawn on a tiny Wacom Bamboo Tablet. It's a cute little guy, but it definitely makes it more difficult to keep your drawing nice and loose. C'est la vie!
